Buying Pinterest will help Paypal move into e-commerce. This 2021 proposal by Paypal adds on to its 2019 purchase of Honey, which shows discounts while people shop online. The potential Paypal + Pinterest deal also trumps Microsoftโs $26 billion purchase of LinkedIn in 2016 and Salesforceโs $27.7 billion purchase of Slack.
