Mike Annunziata (NYC 2017) has joined Caffeinated Capital Collective, a pre-seed/seed-stage operator fund investing in companies building the categories of the future. The collective is a group of a dozen CEOs, Founders, and Senior Execs at top-tier startups across the globe. They invest $500k across sectors, primarily looking to invest in people that they think can build the next generation of great public tech companies.

The FED has raised interest rates for the first time since 2018. Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell announced that the federal funds rate will increase to a range of 0.25 to 0.50 percent, marking a quarter of a point increase. More raises are expected.
Amazon closed its $8.5 billion acquisition of American media company MGM. Over 17,000 TV shows and 4,000 films will be added to Prime Video, Amazon’s streaming service, now that the deal has closed (including classics like Fargo and Silence of the Lambs and popular series like James Bond and Rocky).
“At your door in minutes” delivery startup Getir is now worth almost $12 billion after raising an additional $768 million in Series E funding. Mubdala Investment Company leads the round. Tiger Global, Sequoia Capital, Abu Dhabi Growth Fund (ADG), and Alpha Wave Global are also participating.
